CHIuXiD – pronounced ‘kai-u-x-i-d’ – is a conference where leaders, experts, academics, and professionals from Indonesia, Southeast Asia and beyond, gather, share, and collaborate on the latest Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) insights in diverse vertical industries.
Under the overall theme “Fostering Digital Innovation”, the annual conference will be held virtually in Indonesia, 3 November 2021. We all know that HCI and UX have started to become an inseparable part of Southeast Asia’s digital transformation across diverse vertical industries. From rural villages to cosmopolitan cities and empowering people from different background, cultures, traditions, communities, and disciplines.

Conference Committee reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.

Emerging Technologies: Virtual/augmented reality; Mobile computing and user mobility; Affective computing; Context-Aware and Ubiquitous Computing; Internet of Things; Big Data; Human Robot Interaction; Artificial Intelligence; Smart Cities; Autonomous Vehicles; Wearable Technology; Brain Computer Interface.
UX Processes and Tools: Usability methods and practices; Human-centered design; Participatory design; User studies and ethnographic approaches; Crowdsourcing; Design methods; Tools for design, modeling and evaluation; HCI and Software Engineering; Usability metrics and measurement.
User Interface Design: Multimedia and multimodal interfaces; Natural User Interfaces; Tactile and haptic interaction; Novel interaction techniques; Mobile User Interface; Responsive Design; Graphic User Interface; Information Visualisation.
User Experience and Usability: Lean User Experience; Agile User Experience; Usability Testing; User Research; Internationalization and Localization; Mobile User Experience; HCI4D/ICT4D.
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
• Full Paper (max. 10 pages).
• Short Paper (max. 4 pages).
Authors must submit Original Works in the form of Paper submission (between 5-10 pages) or Poster/Demo submission (max. 4 pages). The number of pages includes references and acknowledgement. The language of the submission must be English
The submission must follow the single-column Article Template (in Word format). Please read carefully and familiarize yourself with the information about the template above for the initial submission or publication. Failure to comply with the template within the deadlines provided will result in a Desk Rejection of the submission or cancellation of the publication.
The accepted submissions must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. Submit your paper through EasyChair.
All submission will be subjected to double-blind review process and therefore the submissions to these categories should be anonymized, i.e. reference to authors and their affiliations must be removed. All authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by the dates mentioned against each category along with the review comments on their submissions. Based on the individual comments, authors will be instructed to submit the Camera Ready version of their submissions on or before the advertised dates against different categories.
Accepted full and short papers will be published at the Conference Proceedings. Previous conference proceedings are at the ACM Digital Library:
